Overview

The Neighbourhood Liaison Table is a space for open dialogue, collaboration, and shared understanding between Hamilton Urban Core, local residents, and community partners. It provides an ongoing opportunity to share updates, exchange feedback, and strengthen community relationships as we continue to develop and operate the Residential Treatment and Recovery Program.

Share regular updates on the Residential Treatment and Recovery Program.
Provide a forum to discuss questions, feedback, and community perspectives.
Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive neighbourhood environment.

Composition

Composition of the Neighbourhood Liaison Table

The Table will bring together a small group of up to 15 members to ensure everyone’s voice is heard and discussions remain meaningful. It will include local residents, community agency partners, a person with lived experience and staff from Hamilton Urban Core.

Residents (8 members) - Co-Chair: 4 residents from the immediate neighbourhood and 1 resident representative from a nearby community or resident association, if applicable.
HUCCHC Staff (3 members) - Co-Chair: Executive Director Delegate, Program Manager to provide operational updates, and Community Liaison Officer to support facilitation and follow-up.
Person with Lived Experience (1 member): to provide client care perspectives.
Community Partners (3 members): 1 representative from a partner organization and 1 representative from Public Health.
Invited Guest: 1 representative from Hamilton Police Service or Community Safety Officer.
Total: 15 participants.
