Overview
The Neighbourhood Liaison Table is a space for open dialogue, collaboration, and shared understanding between Hamilton Urban Core, local residents, and community partners. It provides an ongoing opportunity to share updates, exchange feedback, and strengthen community relationships as we continue to develop and operate the Residential Treatment and Recovery Program.
Purpose of the Neighbourhood Liaison Table
• Foster collaboration and open communication between HUCCHC and residents.
• Share regular updates on the Residential Treatment and Recovery Program.
• Provide a forum to discuss questions, feedback, and community perspectives.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive neighbourhood environment.
Composition of the Neighbourhood Liaison Table
The Table will bring together a small group of up to 12 members to ensure everyone’s voice is heard and discussions remain meaningful. It will include local residents, community agency partners, a person with lived experience and staff from Hamilton Urban Core.
Residents (5 members) - Co-Chair
• 4 residents from the immediate neighbourhood (including at least one directly adjacent property owner or tenant)
• 1 resident representative from a nearby community or resident association (if applicable)
HUCCHC Staff (3 members) - Co-Chair
• Executive Director Delegate
• Program Manager (to provide operational updates)
• Community Liaison Officer (to support facilitation and follow-up)
Person with Lived Experience (1 member)
• To provide client care perspectives
Community Partners (3 members)
• 1 representative from a partner organization
• 1 representative from Hamilton Police Service or Community Safety Officer
• 1 representative from Public Health
Total: 12 participants
